On December 18, 2020 the World Bank approved the Honduras Tropical Cyclone Eta and Iota Emergency Recovery Project to support Honduras' response and recovery needs and strengthen institutional capacity to manage resilient and inclusive recovery and reconstruction. The Project Financing Agreement was signed on March 9 and became effective on June 4, 2021. Project components include: emergency relief, response, and public health and safety operations; resilient rehabilitation and reconstruction of public and community infrastructure and resumption of public services; and institutional support to the Government recovery and reconstruction program.
