On January 25, 2019, the Director of IISCAL, Paulina Garzón, participated in the symposium "Chinese Overseas Investment Impacts" organized by Yale University. The symposium was intended to facilitate open conversations about the challenges and opportunities of the Belt and Road Initiative. The conference covered different impacts, from biodiversity conservation to sustainable finance, and how these infrastructure projects impact society and the landscape. The symposium featured a wide variety of voices and perspectives, from civil society organizations and universities to think tanks and international financial institutions.
