Uganda Reproductive Maternal and Child Health Improvement Project

The Project Development Objectives (PDOs) of the Uganda Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health Services Improvement Project are to: (a) improve utilization of essential health services with a focus on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health services in target districts; and (b) scale-up birth and death registration services.

This project has been impacted by COVID-19. On March 31, 2020, the World Bank committed funds to support the national COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan by re-allocating $15 million from the Uganda Reproductive Maternal and Child Health Services (RMNCH) Improvement Project under the Contingent Emergency Response Component. Apart from the Country Manager’s tweet, there is no documentation on the reallocation of funds .
