Thierryne joined BIC in 2021 as a Social Inclusion Senior Program Associate. She is driven by a passion and a purpose to improve people's lives. Her professional experiences have been dedicated to empowering the marginalized and advocating for poverty eradication.
Prior to joining BIC, Thierryne worked as a program coordinator at the American Statistical Association (ASA). She has also worked for Africa Economics in Kenya, as a consultant for USAID on projects related to economic empowerment and poverty reduction, particularly for women and youth, and with Jewish Family Services, where she resettled refugees with the underlying objectives to strengthen the individual, empower the family, and protect the marginalized.
Thierryne holds a master’s degree in international economics and finance from Brandeis University and a bachelor’s degree in international business administration from the United States International University in Nairobi. She won an award from the Harvard Kennedy School for her outstanding performance in a case competition at the International Development Conference. Thierryne speaks English, French, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili.
