Maggie currently serves as BIC’s Latin America Program Coordinator. Maggie joined BIC as an intern in 2014. She went on to work across BIC’s environmental and social programs and to serve as a point of contact for BIC’s partner organizations in Latin America. She is passionate about challenging the theories and assumptions behind development finance and working in solidarity with those fighting for social, environmental and economic justice at the community level.
Prior to joining BIC, Maggie served as a volunteer client advocate at Centro Las Américas (now CENTRO) with their Latino Elder Program in Worcester, Massachusetts. Maggie received both her B.A. and M.A. in International Development and Social Change from Clark University. She also completed a four month service-learning program in Santiago, Dominican Republic, where she honed her Spanish skills and gained experience in youth and community development work with a local NGO.
