Elizabeth Summers, a human rights lawyer, joined BIC in 2016 to launch our work on the world’s newest multilateral financial institution, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Before joining BIC, Elizabeth managed Freedom House’s global human rights programming, and also spent several years in Tbilisi, Georgia, conducting research, advocacy, and litigation to protect the rights of marginalized groups and advance reform on local business and human rights issues. She is a co-founder of MSI Integrity, an NGO dedicated to examining and understanding the impact and value of voluntary initiatives that address business and human rights.
Elizabeth received her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a holds a B.A. in Political Science, and minors in Business and English, from the University of Florida.
