Dahmata Koffi joined BIC in 2019 as the West Africa Regional Coordinator. In her role, she engages civil society partners in West Africa to monitor projects financed by the World Bank and the African Development Bank and carry out advocacy work towards improved transparency, accountability, environmental sustainability and social inclusion in project implementation processes.
Prior to joining BIC, Dahmata served as the Donor Liaison Officer for the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), where she coordinated and managed the organization’s donor portfolio, ensuring that AWDF meets its implementation and reporting obligations to relevant stakeholders. She also worked with the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) and the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) on partnerships and leadership development as well as capacity building initiatives across Africa.
Dahmata holds an interdisciplinary Master’s Degree in Public Policy with a specialization in Conflict Studies and Management from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt in Germany. Her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Translation Studies was obtained from the School of Translators at the University of Ghana, with a focus on English, French and German.
